This once trashy dive is looking a little cleaned up. While prices remain reasonable and it retains its forboding look during daylight hours, the only thing sketchy about this Venice dive these days are its patrons. Though still a cash only bar, they’ve upgraded to plasma TVs to bring in the NASCAR fans. Not to worry, even though the barkeeps are now wearing uniforms the various sex toys remain with the many Steins on display above the bar and pretensions are still left at the door. With 12 ounce beers not worthy of their patrons, the Townhouse serves only 22 ounce bottles & cans to the suds inclined. Stop by on a weekend and check out the basement if it's open. Once a speakeasy during prohibition it now serves as darkened discoteque...

Jukebox: make a music snob proud
Crowd: you might even pick up here
Bartenders: friendly enough
on tap: full liquor, and nuthin’ but bottles & cans for beer
Your wallet: not bad for the bush economy
