The Green Dog is a pretty nice looking bar to be considered a dive, but with Bud's going for $2.50 a pop it certainly deserves inclusion. A sofa in the back lends to a comfy lounge feel, but the signs declaring you have to take your hoodie down are a nice reminder your'e still in the LBC. The bartenders are young attractive and the night I stopped by firm in their belief of an economy of fabric...

jukebox: there’s some gems here
crowd: a melting pot of drinkers
bartenders: friendly enough
on tap: full liquor, and nuthin’ but bottles & cans for beer
Your wallet: go ahead and buy a round

Seeing as how this was the fourth bar on my Long Beach crawl I hope I can be forgiven for not realizing they serve food here too... Though suddenly the "grill" part of the name makes sense...

The owners, and bartenders are strung out on cocaine. Customer service is crap, along with poor food handling makes this location one that I will never visit again.

I really LIKE the atmosphere in the Green dog Bar & Grill. The ladies are Very Friendly there that work there. I'll always stop by. Norm W.
